It may actually be to Duke's advantage to be the #2 seed. If they make the south regional #1 plays in Buffalo, a home game if Syracuse gets a #1 seed. #2 plays in Jacksonville, much more preferable to Duke, I would assume. If Duke made the East, #1 seed would have them in Milwaukee for the first round. #2 would have them in Providence, RI. Considering their previous trip to Wisconsin earlier this season, I'm guessing Providence would be preferable.

Milwaukee will get a good draw this year as we will get seeds #2,15, 7 & 10 from the Midwest Regional and #1, 16, 8,& 9 from the East Regional. Some great basketball in Beertown.

A tip of my hat to the NCAA. Nobody got that advantage that seems to go to the South region many years. Their is no scenario that I can see that keeps anyone at home or in-state for all four regional games. The NCAA finally got it right.
